Agree the finish line first.

1. Share a non-sensitive brief

Describe the website or process, desired output and constraints. Start with public references or synthetic examples.

2. Agree a written proposal

Name the deliverables, exclusions, inputs, responsibilities, revisions, acceptance checks, review/dispute process, payment date and separate costs.

3. Provide only approved access

Any access is arranged separately with exact systems, permissions and a secure method. A general enquiry grants no access.

4. Review the delivery

Check the agreed output and evidence within the review window. Identify the specific unmet acceptance check if a correction is needed.

5. Resolve scoped issues

In-scope corrections follow the proposal. Changed requirements are scoped separately. Use the agreed dispute procedure for unresolved differences.

6. Accept and pay

Confirm acceptance, settle the fee on the agreed date and receive the agreed handover and ownership terms.

Delivery fees and outcome fees differ

Business-outcome terms must separately define baseline, attribution, measurement window, exclusions and payment trigger. A page going live is not proof of sales growth.

Third-party costs

Hosting, tools, advertising and other purchases may be payable earlier if agreed. An escrow deposit is money committed before delivery, even if released later.
